What is a virtual visit?

Virtual visits are one of the most convenient ways to receive medical care and include email, phone calls, and video visits over our secure patient portal. When medically appropriate, this allows you to stay in the comfort of your home, office, or hotel when traveling and receive medical care virtually.

Virtual visits work well for:

  • Reviewing test results
  • Following up on how you are feeling about a new therapy or medication changes
  • Nutrition and lifestyle coaching and education
  • Creating your next steps to reach your health goals

Virtual visits do not work well for:

  • Conditions requiring physical exams (listening to your heart or lungs, looking in your ears, eyes, throat, or feeling lymph nodes or glands)
Will Ciba Health carry professional-grade nutritional supplements?

We recognize the value of utilizing nutritional supplements when the situation makes clinical sense and patients are interested in this type of therapeutic approach. We have identified high-quality products that are regularly tested and meet the strict requirements of Good Manufacturing Processes. The cost of the nutritional supplements are included in the program, at no cost to you.

What is Ciba Methodology?

Ciba Health utilizes a multidisciplinary root-cause approach grounded in holistic and precision medicine. We take a comprehensive and personalized approach to care for each patient — studying their medical history, lifestyle, and unique biochemistry. We are using cutting-edge technology and a dedicated team of providers to equip patients with the knowledge they need to reverse chronic conditions and lead healthy lives. Each patient has a dedicated health coach, dietitian and physician who work as a team to create a personalized health plan, and make sure the patient has tools, knowledge and behavioral support to implement it.

Will Ciba Health refill my prescriptions?

Yes. Prescription refills can be requested either through our online patient portal or by calling us at (347) 352-2316, ext 2. The physician will only refill prescriptions when they meet the following criteria:

  • The prescription was written by a Ciba Health physician or was written previously by another provider for a condition that is now under the Ciba Health physician’s care and is felt to be medically indicated to continue.
  • The request for a refill was submitted either through our secure online patient portal or via phone request.
  • The prescription has refills remaining. If all refills have been used, you will need to make an appointment with a doctor to receive a new prescription.
