Ciba Health raises $10M Series A, announces C-suite expansion and growth numbers to transform chronic disease treatment with root-cause approach.
Ciba Health announces rapid growth and an expansion to its leadership team on the heels of its $10M Series A funding. Ciba Health raised an oversubscribed $10M Series A funding round led by DigiTx Partners, with participation from E12 Ventures, 3CC Capital, Plug and Play Ventures and angel investors. The company also appointed Nwamaka Imasogie, formerly a Principal Software Engineer on the healthcare AI team at Microsoft, as Chief Technology Officer. Roger Chahine has been promoted from Chief Strategy and Operating Officer to President. Imasogie and Chahine bring extensive technology and healthcare experience to their roles, which will help to solidify Ciba Health as the leader in whole person-care that is changing traditional healthcare with a root-cause approach.
Ciba Health is revolutionizing the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases through expert care teams, lab testing and a root-cause approach to understand and solve core issues that in turn, treat a variety of conditions including type 2 diabetes, digestive health issues and more. The company is using the funds to accelerate product development and scale its operations to meet growing market demand. Ciba Health fills in gaps between a patient’s primary providers and specialists to create a comprehensive, customized program for its users. Its onboarding process includes a questionnaire and easy clinical tests which identify over 300 lab markers, compared to the average 50 markers in traditional tests. Each patient is matched with a provider team, which includes 1:1 visits with a health coach, physician and dietician, and given wearable devices like Fitbits and sleep trackers not normally offered in the healthcare market, to understand their conditions and treat the root causes with accessibility, transparency, convenience and comfort. Ciba Health contracts with employers as a benefit and also is accessible for individual adults and dependents. Ciba Health is currently offered to more than 97k individuals, and the company boasts a 98% provider retention rate. The company has seen a 100% revenue growth YoY and a 300% growth in patients on the platform YoY since its inception in 2020.
“We are thrilled to have secured this investment from such a respected group of investors,” said Dr. Innocent Clement, CEO of Ciba Health. “Their support validates our vision and commitment to creating a healthcare system with no gaps, so patients and their providers have all the information needed to treat and reverse chronic diseases with a more holistic approach. We will leverage this funding to drive the growth of our platform and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients worldwide through a root-cause medicinal approach.”
Prior to joining Ciba Health, Imasogie served as Chief Technology Officer at an AI medical software company, where she created its minimal viable product in less than three months which was used on patients in a full clinical trial, before launching her own business for startups and private equity companies. In her role as Chief Technology Officer, Imasogie will implement algorithms, systems and processes to fuel scalability, ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience for everyone who uses the Ciba Health platform. As President, Chahine, who also was a Founding Partner at early-stage venture capital firm Day223 Ventures, will lead Ciba Health’s business building activities and operations across all functions, while also spearheading the company’s expansion into international markets.
“I’m proud to join a team so committed to connecting the dots that are currently missing from traditional healthcare,” said Nwamaka Imasogie, Chief Technology Officer of Ciba Health. “As Ciba Health is paving the way in scaling root-cause medicine to redefine healthcare with its in-depth lab testing and transparency, I look forward to working alongside a dedicated team of experts to improve the wellbeing of those living with chronic diseases.”

Ciba Health’s unique offerings are tailored to not only change patients’ lives, but save them, and we believe that Ciba Health is the platform that is changing the future of health.”
Ciba Health recently launched its Pediatric Metabolic Program in March to offer its health plans to children five and older as well as their families. The company has also partnered with Instacart Health to integrate Instacart’s grocery shopping offering with Ciba Health’s dietician services and nutrition program, and also joined Solera Health’s network to help employers offer foundational medical treatment at an affordable cost. Ciba Health is revolutionizing the digital health sector by making it as high touch as it is high technology. The company plans to expand its partnerships with third party administrators, integrate GLP-1 step therapies into its employer offerings, PBMs and health plans, and continue building its employee headcount in the coming months.
